About Us

Chelsfield Evening WI

We are a group of sociable and friendly ladies who enjoy visits to the theatre, attending lunch dates, and getting together at various other organised events throughout the year. We are currently a group of forty-four with an ages ranging from 25 to 88 with varying interests and backgrounds.

Our regular monthly meetings include a speaker to entertain us on various subjects, some small house keeping issues and then a cuppa and an opportunity to catch-up with one another. Our speakers have covered chilli growing, being a professional stunt women and we were also visited by Maggie the lurcher and her owner Lara from Canterbury Dogs Trust.  We have a knit and natter group together with a cinema group and a darts team.  

We enjoy trips and visits to places of interest and have previously gone to Buckingham Palace, and most recently the Wi Fair at Alexandra Palace.

Annual membership includes all monthly meetings, eight copies of the WI Life magazine, delivered to member’s homes, and also a copy of the West Kent WI News which is distributed at every meeting to keep members up to date on news and events from the federation.

We welcome new members of all ages to join our happy crowd and are always keen to meet ladies with interesting ideas for future events.  For future events please refer to our programme tab.
